Assist and learn how to accurately receive, issue, and store all materials and supplies for the Cooperative.
1. Receive materials from motor freight, UPS, suppliers, etc.
2. Place stock materials received in its proper storage location.
3. Use the computer to identify who ordered material, and to verify that the proper material was received and check stock quantities, etc.
4. Issue material to construction crews.
5. Assist in breakdown and restocking of returned and retired material from construction jobs.
6. Deliver supplies to other GreyStone Divisions.
7. Assists and learns to verify received transformer data.. 8. Deliver materials to construction crews on job sites. 9. Assist in the material inventories using MobileTrak handheld bar code readers. 10. Assists in calculating and recording the returned wire weights and footages. 11. Regularly sweeps the warehouse, docks, and yard area to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Require High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Must be capable of learning REA specifications and construction methods.
Ability to learn to operate a forklift.
Must possess the ability to push by hand a pallet of materials with the use of a pallet jack.
Must possess the ability to use tools and equipment such as but not limited to hand trucks, pallet jack, and forklift.
Must possess the ability to reach above the head to stock and/or pull material from overhead shelves.
Must have and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License.
General warehouse experience including the control of material is desired.
Must satisfactorily pass the EMC’s employment physical examination and required drug screens.
Considerable walking, lifting, bending, sitting, and climbing are required. Must load and unload transformers, etc. in inclement weather. Warehouse is extremely hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Requires stooping and lifting loads up to 100 pounds.
