1. Inspects vehicles and equipment as part of the preventative maintenance program.
2. Identifies problems with vehicles and line equipment and makes the necessary mechanical repairs.
3. Performs repairs to hydraulic and electronic systems as directed.
4. Replaces engines, drive trains, and equipment components as directed.
5. Tunes engines as directed.
6. Performs minor welding and fabrication as necessary: safely operating gas and arc welding equipment.
7. Performs service work on all vehicles such as changing oil, lubrication, tire work, brake repair, etc.
8. Performs complete operational testing of vehicles and equipment complying with all safety standards and manufacturer’s instructions before completion.
9. Prepares written record of all maintenance and repairs performed, carefully completing time sheets, service orders forms, and any other document required to properly record work.
10. Maintains personal tools as required.
11. Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
12. Makes road service calls when necessary.
